Section 01

Who We Are

VoyageMais, LLC ("VoyageMais," "we," "us," or "our") is a travel insights and consulting company headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. We operate the website located at www.voyagemais.com (the "Site"), which provides market-specific travel insights, study abroad resources, expat information, a directory of travel, study abroad, relocation, and real estate professionals, partner programs, and consulting services.

This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors and users of the Site, regardless of where you are located. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

Section 02

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Information You Provide Directly

  • Email inquiries. When you contact us at privacy@voyagemais.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
  • Site guide. The guide on our Site answers common questions using pre-written responses. It runs entirely in your browser, and what you type into it is not sent to us or to any third party.
  • VM AI. When you use VM AI, our AI assistant, the text of your messages is sent through our servers to Anthropic, PBC, our third-party AI service provider, for processing. Please see Section 4 for more detail.

Information from Partners, Clients, and Business Contacts

  • Lead forms. When you respond to one of our ads through a lead form on Google or Meta, the platform passes us the information you submit, such as your name, email address, phone number, organization, location, and what you asked about.
  • Partner accounts and billing. When you sign up for a partner plan, we collect your name, business name, principal place of business, contact and billing details, and plan purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store full card or bank account numbers.
  • Listing content. We collect the information partners provide for their listings, such as names, photos, logos, business descriptions, languages, credentials, contact details, and property information. This information is published on the Site and may be translated into the languages the Site supports.
  • Calls and scheduling. When you schedule a call with us, we receive the details you provide, and we may keep notes of our conversation.
  • Client information. Business and institutional clients may share personal information with us under a signed agreement, only as needed for the services. Where we process that information on a client's behalf, a data processing addendum applies.
  • Directory inquiries. Visitors contact partners directly using the contact details in the partner's listing. VoyageMais does not receive those messages, and each partner handles them under its own privacy policy.

Partner plans are governed by our Partner Terms.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Language preference. We store your selected language under the key vmLang in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage, and in a first-party cookie of the same name. The localStorage and sessionStorage values remain on your device. The cookie is sent to our servers with your requests so the Site can show you your selected language, and it is never shared with any third party.
  • Usage and analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to collect information about how visitors interact with our Site. This may include your IP address (anonymized), browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, clicks, scroll depth, and general geographic location. Microsoft Clarity may also record session replays and generate heatmaps of user interactions.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and our advertising pixels set cookies in your browser once you consent, and we set an essential cookie, vmLang, to remember your language preference. For full details on cookies used, their purposes, and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy.

Information Collected by Third Parties

  • Google Fonts. Our Site loads fonts from Google's servers. When your browser makes this request, Google may collect your IP address and browser information. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Social media platforms. Our Site links to our social media profiles on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Threads. When you click these links, you leave our Site and are governed by the respective platform's privacy policy.
  • Advertising pixels. We use pixel tracking technologies from Meta (covering Facebook, Instagram, and Threads), TikTok, and LinkedIn to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and track conversions. These technologies may collect information about your device, browser, and activity on our Site. See Section 4 for details and Section 7 for your opt-out rights.

Section 03

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

We do not sell your personal information. We use advertising pixel data solely for conversion tracking and ad performance measurement — not for building individual profiles or selling data to third parties. See Section 7 for your right to opt out of this data sharing.

Section 04

Third-Party Services and Data Processors

We work with the following third-party services that may process personal data on our behalf or independently:

Anthropic, PBC — VM AI

VM AI, our AI assistant, is powered by Claude, developed by Anthropic, PBC. When you use VM AI, your messages are sent through our servers to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic acts as a data processor with respect to VM AI inputs. The site guide described in Section 2 does not use Anthropic. Anthropic's use of data submitted via the API is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy and applicable data processing agreements. We encourage you to avoid entering sensitive personal information into VM AI.

Google — Analytics and Fonts

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage data about visitors to our Site. Google acts as a data processor for analytics purposes. We have configured GA4 in accordance with Google's recommended privacy settings, including IP anonymization. We also load typefaces from Google Fonts, which results in a browser request to Google's servers. Both services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We have executed a Data Processing Agreement with Google.

Microsoft — Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to analyze user behavior through session recordings and heatmaps. Clarity may capture mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling patterns. We have configured Clarity to mask sensitive input fields. This service is governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement. We have executed a Data Processing Agreement with Microsoft.

Vercel — Hosting

Our Site is hosted on Vercel, Inc. Vercel may process server logs that include IP addresses and request metadata as part of standard hosting operations. This is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Meta Platforms — Advertising

We use Meta Pixel on our Site to measure the performance of advertising campaigns run on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. When you visit our Site, Meta Pixel may collect your IP address, browser information, and information about pages you visit and actions you take. This data is shared with Meta Platforms, Inc. for conversion tracking and ad performance measurement. This service is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. California residents may opt out of this data sharing — see Section 7.

TikTok — Advertising

We use TikTok Pixel on our Site to measure the performance of advertising campaigns run on TikTok. When you visit our Site, TikTok Pixel may collect your IP address, browser information, and information about pages you visit and actions you take. This data is shared with TikTok Inc. for conversion tracking and ad performance measurement. This service is governed by TikTok's Privacy Policy. California residents may opt out of this data sharing — see Section 7.

LinkedIn — Advertising

We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag on our Site to measure the performance of advertising campaigns run on LinkedIn. When you visit our Site and are logged into LinkedIn, the Insight Tag may collect your IP address, browser information, and LinkedIn profile data such as job title, industry, and seniority, in addition to information about pages you visit. This data is shared with LinkedIn Corporation for conversion tracking and ad performance measurement. This service is governed by LinkedIn's Privacy Policy. California residents may opt out of this data sharing — see Section 7.

Stripe — Payments

We use Stripe, Inc. to process partner payments and manage subscriptions. Stripe receives billing details such as your name, email address, billing address, and payment method. Stripe acts as our data processor and, for purposes such as fraud prevention and regulatory compliance, as an independent controller. This service is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Meta and Google — Lead Forms

When you submit a lead form on Facebook, Instagram, or Google, the form is hosted by that platform under its own privacy policy, and your responses are passed to us.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their own marketing or commercial purposes. Advertising pixel data is shared with Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn solely for conversion tracking and ad performance measurement related to our own campaigns. Partners receive only aggregate performance data.

Section 05

VoyageMais is based in the United States. If you access our Site from the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, or any other region with data protection laws that differ from those of the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

For users in the EU/EEA and UK, data transfers to our third-party processors (Google, Microsoft, Anthropic, Vercel, Stripe) are conducted pursuant to Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved transfer mechanisms under the GDPR and UK GDPR.
